(I)

I’m hoping you’d say yes,
But it’s still your call, can I, miss?

(II)

All of this years, my heart stood a fortress
First time I saw you, your steps sounded like a knock
And I could’ve sworn, with the way loving you hit me like a flood
You had walked in my heart void of permission, without a yes.

(III)

For your yes I strived, four years I tried
But you mocked repeatedly, as you went knocking heads about with your beauty
I recall you said; I was too broke not to be left heart broken
Your no was no rejection, but a mockery with no disguise
Now it’s royce and rolexes, dirt digging as you called it paid of eventually
My eye on the phone, iPhone says all these tens of buzzes, it’s you
Tables turn, bridges burn, an upgrade I feel it is for you, yes the slum
Darling, I have missed, I am missing and I will miss your call.

I’m hoping you’d say yes, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t anyway, I’ll still miss your call everyday.
